Heating

SKOV provides ventilation solutions in which heating is an integrated part of the overall solution.

A good climate is important for the animal well-being, health and productivity. Heating is a part of the total climate solution in line with cooling and ventilation and a crucial parameter to create an optimum climate which contributes to a high productivity.

The climate in the livestock house, where temperature and relative air humidity are important factors, is of major importance for the feed consumption, gain, stress, infection risk, etc. It is necessary to ventilate and to supply heat to the livestock house in order to control the climate including temperature, humidity and CO₂.

SKOV heating components are of a very high quality and they are well suited for a harsh house environment.

Finned tubes
With Spiraflex finned tubes for heating of the livestock house, you get an efficient and quickly responding heating system ensuring the animals a perfect climate. Spiraflex finned tubes - made of steel (boiler tube quality) - are all-welded and thus ensure a documented high heat output.

In addition, we can supply complete shunts for regulation of room heating and floor heating respectively. The shunts ensure an optimum regulation of temperature in relation to power consumption under all conditions. This way, the best production environment is created in the livestock house.

Blow heaters
SKOV A/S supplies direct-fired blow heaters as a supplement to or as a replacement for water-based indirect-fired heating systems.

Direct-fired means that the generation of heat takes place as a result of direct, open combustion of gas in the house section itself.

A signal is transmitted from the DOL climate computer from SKOV to the blow heaters to make them switch on; the climate computer cuts off the signal when the heat requirement has been covered.

The blow heaters circulate the housing air by means of the built-in fans.
