Climate control

The climate computer controls all components ensuring optimum functioning of the entire ventilation system.

SKOV has wide experience in developing user-friendly climate computers capable of handling both simple and advanced control tasks. All the climate computers have modular hardware and software allowing them to be tailored to suit individual producer requirements.

SKOV’s climate computers control the climate efficiently and accurately, thus ensuring optimum growth. Most SKOV ventilation systems are therefore controlled in accordance with the MultiStep® principle which is capable of halving power consumption while at the same time ensuring optimum use of the fresh air.

Dynamic Air (patent pending) is a new principle for online measuring of air output in air outlets. A Dynamic Air sensor is placed by the flap in the exhaust unit and enables the climate computer to calculate the airflow in the exhaust unit very accurately.

DOL 234F climate computers

The DOL 234F series of climate computers is used in connection with th Combi-diffuse, equal pressure and LPV ventilation principles. DOL 234F controls the climate via the PID principle so that the temperature in the house is quickly adjusted to the required level, ensuring the best possible climate for the animals. DOL 234F controls the air outlet through MultiStep® in order to minimize power consumption. DOL 234F is operated by means of a rotary button and a graphical display.

DOL 534 climate computer

DOL 534 is a climate computer for poultry houses. It can regulate and monitor the climate and provides complete two-zone control to regulate temperature, humidity, ventilation, cooling, humidification and CO2 ventilation in two separate zones.

DOL 534 is equipped with a large graphic touch screen enabling navigation in the program via icons on the screen. The menus are simple and logically designed including optional choice of personal shortcuts on the front page. Functions used daily are thus at the top level in the menu structure. FarmOnline® is used for overview and analysis of historic data to which DOL 534 has direct access via a built-in LAN module. DOL 534 is supplied with climate functionality so the producer's actual requirement is always covered with due regard to climatic conditions and production.

Tunnel (T)

DOL 534 control the ventilation according to the Tunnel principle, which is used in the tropical parts of the world. The air inlet is conducted through cooling pads at one end and the air outlet through large gable fans at the other end of the house. A cool airflow is created lengthwise in the house.

Low Power Ventilation (LPV)

DOL 534 can control the climate according to the LPV principle (Low Power Ventilation) which is most often used in the temperate parts of the world. The fresh air is directed into the house through either wall or ceiling inlets and the air outlet is conducted through wall fans or exhaust units in the roof.

Combi-Tunnel (CT)
Furthermore, DOL 534 can integrate both the LPV and Tunnel principles in one intelligent Combi-Tunnel ventilation system, which is the optimum solution in the subtropical parts of the world. The ventilation principle ensures optimum conditions for the animals by making the ventilation dependent on the outside temperature and the age of the animals. At low outside temperatures, the system ventilates according to the LPV principle and at high outside temperatures according to the Tunnel principle.

This computer is also available as a climate and production computer - DOL 539.

DOL 339 climate computers

The DOL 339 series of climate computers is used in connection with the Tunnel, LPV and Combi-Tunnel ventilation principles. The controller is designed primarily for poultry production and large houses. The temperature is controlled through the PID principle and the air outlet through MultiStep®. DOL 339 can be fitted with a production module capable of handling all basic functions in poultry production.
DOL 339 is operated by means of a rotary button, a numeric keyboard and a graphical display.
