Emergency opening
A ventilation system that fails is the most critical factor in a modern house, requiring immediate action. An emergency ventilation system ensures the well-being of the animals as well as production.
When wall inlets, chimneys, etc. are used for ventilation, these air inlets and outlets can be used for emergency air intake. When diffuse ventilation is used, an alternative emergency air inlet is required in the form of e.g. windows that can be opened if the ventilation system fails.
DOL 278 emergency opening system – temperature-controlled
Together with SKOV’s climate computer, DOL 278 is an independent emergency opening system for opening the ventilation system in case of power, technical or operational failure. The emergency opening system is integrated into DOL 278T and is activated when the house temperature exceeds the temperature set on DOL 278T. The opening system depends on how much the temperature is exceeded and is opened gradually. DOL 278 has a separate temperature sensor and therefore does not depend on climate computer measurements.
DOL 278 is also equipped with outside temperature sensor and the emergency opening can compensate for high outside temperature. I.e. the outside temperature sensor overrides/suspends the emergency opening if it is warm outside.
DOL 278 emergency opening system – ON/OFF
Together with SKOV’s climate computer, DOL 278 is an independent emergency opening system for opening the ventilation system completely in case of power or technical failure. The actual emergency opening function is integrated into the climate computer, only the energy for opening the ventilation system is drawn from DOL 278. In case of a power failure, the connected air inlets and outlets are forced open and the emergency opening system opens completely.
