SKOV’s production systems are designed with a view to systematising production monitoring and ensuring correct, efficient production control. In this way, optimum conditions can be created for advanced and efficient production

Production control has the following objectives:

• To provide the animals with the right quantity of feed and water to ensure optimum exploitation of their growth potential.
• To ensure good, uniform conditions for all animals in the house.
• To collect updated and valid data that forms the basis for the producer’s decisions.
• To provide the producer with a basis for efficient monitoring of production that allows him to act in case of irregularities.
• To detect problems before they are registered visually through house inspection. In case of imminent disease or bad feed, the producer will, for example, be able to detect irregularities in water and feed conditions many hours before the animals show visible symptoms.
