Indian Minister of Agriculture visits Suguna Poultry Farm with SKOV ventilation
Poultry production in a closed production environment house gets increasingly predominant in those areas where naturally ventilated houses were prevailing up to now. Environmental controlled houses (EC houses) in a closed production environment enable you to control the environment in the production facility to the benefit of the productivity and the well-being of the animals.

On the Suguna farm in India, SKOV installed Combi-Tunnel ventilation in six broiler houses, each with 25 000 birds. New technology in the livestock houses allows the stocking of the houses with more birds. In this case, six houses each with 25 000 birds - a typical farm in India has approx. 4 000 birds totally.

The EC houses were built in 2008 and the owners are extremely satisfied with the production results. Therefore, they had invited Mr. Gokulram IAS, Secretary, AH- Government of India, and Ms. Rowla Swarnamalya IAS, Jt. Secretary- Poultry – Government of India, to have a look at the new ventilation systems.

In connection with the visit on the farm, the SKOV poultry specialist in Asia, Mr Tommy H. Krogh, had the opportunity to show the prominent guests around on the farm and explain about the principles of an EC house and the advantages of producing broilers under these conditions. The ventilation systems attracted attention and the inquisitiveness was great.
